Overview

From the centre of Bolsterstone, we descend to Ewden Village and walk along the southern shore of Broomhead Reservoir and up through Wigtwizzle Wood before descending to cross Ewden Beck. From there it's a steady ascent to the ridge from where there are excellent views of the Ewden Valley, and a gentle walk back to Bolsterstone. 9 stiles, livestock in several fields.

As well as limited parking in the village, there is one stretch of road walking where extreme care is needed so places on the walk will be restricted, car sharing is encouraged. The Castle Inn in Bolsterstone will be open at the end of the walk, no toilets en route.

Please book by phone or text rather than email.
