Overview

We will circumnavigate the Bough Beech Reservoir though by no means following the most direct route, straying into the surrounding Greensand Ridge and countryside.

We will start from the causeway across the North of the Reservoir, heading West to Crittenden before cutting North uphill towards Scords Farm from which we will follow the Greensand Ridge to Goathurst Common taking in the views of the Reservoir and beyond, before descending from Boarhill to Bore Place and Little Sidcup.

We will take our picnic lunches at Charcott, with refreshments available at the Greyhound.

In the afternoon we will return to our start through Bough Beech Village and the Bough Beech nature reserve..
