Overview

The walk is part of the Lancashire Way, mainly on towpaths, field paths and quiet lanes. Starting by walking to Parbold and on to Newburgh via the canal. We will pass through the Christmas tree farm to Bluebell Wood. The route then skirts the quarry, where the path is uneven and can be muddy. There's a good view over the plain where we can have a break. Eventually descending back to the canal.
