Overview

Following mostly the coastal path along the River Adur and along the front towards Worthing to reach Brooklands Park.

This winter walk along broad walks and hard surface provides a mud free opportunity after the recent weather. Hopefully to include a short stretch walking on the foreshore. Some of the route we follow the same path there and back but there is plenty to see inland or out to sea. We pass the Old Shoreham Fort, a variety of properties depending on your budget and a selection of beach huts.Various information boards along the route popular with dog walkers and cyclists. Bird life evident at Widewater Lagoon Nature Reserve and Brooklands Lake.

Please bring a snack and a picnic. Our lunch stop at the park provides an opportunity to get refreshments if needed or use the facilities.

Please text the leader if you plan to join this walk.

If you decide to come on the day please turn up ready to start at 10am. Please check the website in case of cancellation.
