A linear walk from Worlds End, Burgess Hill up onto the Downs and across to Lewes, returning by train.
Meet up roadside outside Wivelsfield train station. Largely level in the morning, across Ditchling Common through the Blackbrook bluebell Wood, past Plumpton racecourse to the Half Moon, PH for lunch. A stiff climb up onto the South Downs Way is then rewarded by a long and gentle scenic descent down past Blackcap and the old Lewes racecourse with a last short rise for the views by Lewes castle before dropping down to the train station. Ten or so easy stiles in the morning, and a stile-free free-style afternoon ;)
Please text the leader to book onto this walk.
