Overview

Starting from Brechfa Pool (an SSI), a lovely walk, visiting trig point on Myndd Forest, then across Llandyfalle Hill, descend to Ponde, then a steep but short climb back to Brechfa Common.   

A walk mainly on grassy tracks (if you like bracken you'll love it!) Slight amount of minor road walking.

Travelling from Glasbury turn right onto A4079 towards Builth Wells, at roundabout take A479 towards Builth. In Llyswen take left turn at Griffin Inn, (A470 towards Brecon. Take next right (after about 1 mile) which leads to the pool, this is a narrow road with passing places. Once over cattle grid park on left near 'phone box.
