We are Herts Weekend Walkers, HWW for Short . We are aimed at people who are normally working during the week and can usually only find time to get outside and enjoy a walk at the weekend.

This walk is mainly through woods with very little road walking.
Starting from Drop Lane carpark we follow the river Ver for a mile or so. We cross a footbridge and then circumvent Munden House, and continue until we pass through Munden Springs. Here we see the newly reopened Old Fox pub. This pub has just reopened after being shut for 8 years. From here we pass by Coldharber Plantation, then picking up the Hertfordshire Way as we make our way to Smug Oak Lane. We then crossover the M25 and do a loop adjacent to the Frogmore Lakes and back under a tunnel to Moor Mill and then back to the carpark. Everyone is invited to Moor Mill for a post walk beverage. Moor Mill is 1 minutes drive from Drop Lane but if you are using their carpark you will need to register your car. This can be done very quickly on an Ipad in the bar area.
There is no need to pre-book or contact the leader in advance.
If already a Ramblers member, please bring your Ramblers card (or membership details on the app) as we submit a register to Ramblers before we start the walk. Totally new members are allowed to come on up to three walks before joining.
