We are the Plymouth Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
An interesting walk along the John Musgrave Way from Brixham to Totnes. 2000ft of climb, mainly well used tracks. The walk involves a ferry at Greenway Quay and we will have coffee in the Greenway national Trust cafe. We will pass through Dittisham, Cornworthy, Tuckenhay and Ashprington on the way to Totnes.
I plan to catch the 8.35 train from Plymouth station. We change at Newton Abbot for the 9.26 from Newton Abbot to Paignton. We then catch the No 12 bus to Brixham. At the end of the walk there are many trains from Totnes to Plymouth.
I would advise you to buy a plusbus with your train ticket (unless you have a bus pass!)
START TIME will depend on what time the bus arrives in Brixham. If we get an earlier Newton Abbot train (or later!) the start time may be flexible!
Please note there will be a charge for the Greenway ferry. From memory you paid at the kiosk and I used a card (though best to have cash just in case)
