Calderwood Country Park is composed of two former country estates - Torrance and Calderwood.
This walk leaves from Calderglen Car Park, passing the Zoo/Information Centre. Initially following the Calderwood Tor Trail, zig zagging through rhododendron bushes to emerge on the banks of the Rotten Calder River. Turn right here then a left to cross the river on a footbridge. We continue along the banks of the Rotten Calder through a very attractive woodland with some broken crags. Then crossing back over by a footbridge to pick up the Langlands Moss trail. The path towards Langlands Moss has one steep section, poles may be needed. The path opens up as we walk alongside Torrance House Golf Course to our right-hand side. We continue to follow the path, there is a short diversion due to a landslide, which has one set of steep wooden stairs. Once down the stairs we walk under a road bridge. The path joins the main road through Langlands Industrial Estate and continues to follow the signs for Langlands Moss. Once at Langlands Moss you can spent some time walking out onto the Board Walk and reading the information signs. Coming back on to the path we follow the signs for Calderglen Visitor Centre, the path will bring us back to the where the main road is. From here we will retrace our steps back into Calderglen Country Park.
