Farringdon to Chawton and back in the morning including occasional bits you may not have seen. 10.30 start, lunch at 12.30. That's about 4 miles. Afternoon about 2.5 miles, looping west from the pub. Finish at 2.30 in time for the Winchester Ramblers' mince pies event at Ropley Parish Hall (14 mins away on the way back to Winchester), if wanted.
A bit of mud, not much. One short slope otherwise almost flat. There was one stile but I didn't fancy the drop on the other side, so rerouted. Possibly a stile if we reroute due to conditions.
We start from The Royal Oak at Lower Farringdon [[Gosport Rd, Lower Farringdon, Alton GU34 3DJ]] Please let me know if you want lunch asap (menu below). Picnic area nearby.
Quick visits to All Saints Church, Upper Farringdon, St Nicholas Church and Cassandras' graves (mother and sister).
After lunch we have a local walk heading West until 14.30, when we will find ourselves back at the pub.
