We are the Cardiff Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Bargoed Station the 6 mile return walk will be from the station along the cycle path to the Winding House New Tredegar. The Winding House is currently closed but refreshments will be available at Elliot's Community Cafe behind the Winding House.
Travel:
Catch Bargoed train 10.11 Cardiff Central Station, 10.15 Queen St,10.20 Heath High Level, 10.26 Thornhill.
Alternately the 26 Stagecoach Bus goes from Cardiff to Caerphilly where you will need to catch a local bus to Bargoed.
Walkers driving to Bargoed: it's unlikely you will be able to park at Bargoed Park and Ride Car Park so put Morrisons Bargoed into your Sat Nav. and follow the route. As you drive uphill to the lights where you turn right you will see a free car park on your right, park there. Walk along the road straight ahead which will take you to the bus station and Park and Ride Car Park where you will see the train station.
Meet Walk Leader 11am at Bargoed Station.
Walkers need to carry In Case of Emergency information – this might be on a card, key fob or on their smartphone.
