We'll meet at Cardington Village Hall and do a nice loop round, taking in the top of Wilstone Hill and the amazing views of Caer Caradoc, the Lawley and across the flood plain to the distant Wrekin. We'll stop here for a coffee break before the descent and return via Wilstone and through farmland to Cardington. We'll also pass some beautiful old farm houses and cottages and little pockets of trees.
The ascent up to the top of Wilstone Hill via this route isn't very steep, but it is sustained for the first half of the walk with minimal flat sections. We will take a relaxed pace with breaks.
We will finish with a refreshing drink, likely in Church Stretton.
Car sharing advised. The Village Hall has a £2 donation box.
Dogs welcome; however, there will be livestock including lambs on the route so leads are essential. There are minimal stiles.
