Ascent of Gargunnock Escarpment, then clockwise circuit of plateau to Carleatheran peak. Panoramic views sweeping from Ben Lomond to the west, Ben Venue to the north, to Stirling and the Ochils in the east.

Terrain: Mostly firm tracks with occasional boggy patches on plateau; short section (¾ km) of indistinct path across rough/boggy scrub.
