A walk from Clachan of Strachur along the Cowal Way and River Cur.

Follow the Cowal Way for around 2 km and then head onto a good forestry road into the Strachur Forest. Our route then follows the River Cur NE upstream before crossing and then following the river SW downstream to re-join the Cowal Way for our return.

Local Grade: C+

Terrain: Quiet country lane and well graded forestry roads.  Light boots or walking shoes recommended. A couple of gates to climb over. All gradients are long and gentle.

Max height: 355 m.
