Overview

This gentle walk to begin with follows an Asher's Trail created in conjunction with The Wildlife Trust.  It follows a cycle/walk route through some of the grounds of The Grove Hotel.  This will bring us to  the Grand Union canal which we shall follow.  This takes us up and over a packhorse bridge.  We also get a view  being opposite of The Dower House, where Fanny Craddock a celebrity cook lived.  We can glimpse at the magnificent  riverside gardens and then carry on with our walk to the edge of Cassiobury Park.  At this point, we will then turn to walk up Lime Avenue the last distinctive feature of the demesne successive Earls of Essex regarded with pride and affection.  We then follow a bridleway adjacent to the woods and golf course which takes us to our finish.
