Starting at the Tideswell Dale Car Park, we head up & over into Millers Dale, up Monks Dale (long rocky path), via Wormhill (yup, a hill). Dropping down to the River Wye, and very briefly we're on the Monsal Trail. Entering Cheedale and the stepping stones beside the River Wye (impassable if it floods...). We traverse both sets of stepping stones. Each stone is about 12 inches (30 cm) square, and separated from the next by about 8 inches (20 cm), please see the photo (this is why it's graded Technical). Monk's Dale is now on the other side of the River Wye. We then travel along just 1.4 miles of the Monsal Trail to Litton Mill, then back up Tideswell Dale.

The recce was done at the end of June, so the vegetation will have grown a bit, including some nettles & brambles on the less frequented sections, hence I suggest long trousers.
