This walk will be at a BRISK pace.
We begin the walk North East along the Ridgeway path, around Wain Hill, then South East up to the top of Lodge Hill for a (please bring) packed lunch overlooking Lacy Green. We resume to Bledlow Ridge and pass through Yoesden Nature Reserve before arriving at the snowdrop laden churchyard at Radnage aiming for 2pm to partake in tea and cakes and rendezvous with Mark Percy’s group from Saunderton.
We return via Spriggs Alley and Crowell Hill, back to the Ridgeway Path but will avoid the worst of the mud by taking a more northerly route, past an interesting preserved 'beehive' kiln, once used in the manufacture of hydraulic lime. Then we will look down upon one of the flooded quarries and walk past Chinnor heritage railway station before ascending to the carpark.
St. Mary The Virgin at Radnage has a toilet. Alan will provide boot-protectors if
required to protect the floor from mud.
Please bring packed lunch.
Closely controlled dogs are allowed.
