Overview

Many of us have seen the Hamble Brook, which, when the aquifer is full, flows down the Hambleden valley. But do you know where the source is? After the wet winter, the brook is flowing well and this is a perfect time to see the springs that feed it. The first half of the walk is almost flat as we follow the Chiltern Way and the brook up the valley. We'll stop for our lunch at Turville and thereafter the route is hillier, as we will return to the start point following the Chiltern and Shakespeare's Ways over the hills and through the woods on the western side of the Hambleden valley.
There are two stiles.
Bring a packed lunch.

Dogs will need to be on leads during much of the walk.
Toilets at the start/end in the car park.
The area around the springs is inevitably wet underfoot, waterproof footwear recommended.
