If you fancy an afternoon ramble on 25th December, you are very welcome to join me for a walk. We will first walk the Greenwich Foot Tunnel to the Isle of Dogs to take in the view of Greenwich Park from Island Gardens. Then, retracing our steps, we will make a circuit of Greenwich Park, passing the Old Royal Observatory, National Maritime Museum and the Royal Naval College Buildings and up to Blackheath. We will have sweeping views of London from the top of the park to include St Paul's Cathedral, Canary Wharf and the 02 arena where we will stop for hot drinks (please bring a thermos). We will end the walk back in Greenwich where we may try our luck at a local pub, we'll see what people want to do on the day.
There is no public transport on 25th December, however there are Santander bikes and Ubers etc (worth a try as they can be surprisingly normal prices on that day) or if possible you can get to the start of the walk by walking or by bike. According to the Borough of Greenwich website, car parking is free on 25th December at the Cutty Sark Gardens car park, SE10 9HT
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
