We will walk south of Haslemere, through beech and evergreen woodlands and fields, using paths, bridleways and some lanes. It is an undulating walk which starts and finishes at Haslemere station, climbing from the start of the walk, with several STEEP sections so if you like to use poles please bring them.
Along the way there are some stunning views over the Surrey/Sussex countryside with the best views from The Temple of the Winds on Black Down towards the end of the walk.
Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and enough water as it is a longish walk, and no shops or cafes along the route. There 2 options for lunch an early one or a late one so we will decide as a group which option works best for everyone.
There are stiles, some of which are a bit wobbly.
No dogs please as there were still some lambs in the fields at the time of the recce.
The pace will be brisk 2 a half to 3 miles per hour.
Travel: Take the 09.00 from Waterloo, 09.09 from Clapham Junction arriving Haselmere at 10.06. Return trains at 17 and 42 minutes past the hour to Clapham Junction and Waterloo.

There are toilets on the train and platform 2 at Haslemere Station, otherwise there are no toilets along the way, but plenty of woodland options.
