'Regulars' on Hillingdon walks need not book. Just turn up as usual.

I can't offer shepherds, nor wise men bearing gifts, but if you join me for a moderately brisk walk on Christmas Eve, you can indulge yourself the following day with a clear conscience. The route will include woods, fields, most certainly mud , plus a couple of awkward stiles. Picnic lunch on the green in Harefield. Pub nearby for a quick drink.
