A Moderate walk on grass path, hard-core forest tracks and tarred road. From the car park, follow the path signposted Tap O' Noth, but when the path turns right, go straight on to reach a tarred road to North Merdrum farm. The walk now is on hard-cored forest track to Finglenny and Boganclogh Lodge. Further on there is a short distance of "heather bashing" to New Merdrum Farm, then return to the starting point by tarred farm road, the A941 and tarred road to the car park.

Good walking boots, gaiters, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm hat and gloves are strongly advised, poles if you use them. Bring food and drink.
