Overview

This walk is mainly flat with some gentle slopes and there are stiles.   It is likely to be muddy.  Starting in Quorn, Chaveney Road we will walk next to a stream then adjacent to the Great Central Railway turning left to Swithland Reservoir.  Then up to Mountsorrel War Memorial with views across the valley, down to the Butter Market and back towards Quorn along the River Soar, or along the road (on the pavement) depending on flooding.   Bring a packed lunch and drinks.   There will be toilet facilities half way at the Waterside Inn Mountsorrel for the price of a drink.
