The walk starts with a steep downhill through woodland and then goes along the valley bottom before climbing up through fields. We will walk through several woods with some ups and downs, including one short steep climb. There are several great views as we pass between woodlands. We will be on the Chiltern Way for part of the walk. There are four stiles near the start of the walk, all in good condition and fairly low.
Park alongside the church in Rotherfield Greys and in the lay-by opposite. The pub next to the church, The Maltsters Arms, seems to be closed but has a carpark. The nearest pub for lunch is The Red Lion in Rotherfield Peppard. Assistance dogs only please.
