We are the East Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A spectacular 10 miles from Seaford to Eastbourne via our previous finish point of Exceat and on through the Seven Sisters Country Park.
In addition to the 10-miler, we are hoping to offer a shorter walk from Birling Gap, to those wanting to enjoy the spectacular Seven Sisters Country Park at a more leisurely pace. Watch this space for details nearer the time!
Our coach will depart from the Shire Horse, Littlewick Green, promptly at 9am. The coach fare is £25, payable on the day by card, cash (correct money please) or cheque (payable to East Berks Ramblers). Please arrive in walking boots ready to disembark quickly at the other end. Spare shoes can be left in the luggage compartment of the coach. The journey to Seaford will take approx 2 hours and we will stop for a short comfort break on the way.
Once on our walk, we will stop after 3-4 miles for lunch and at least once more for a 'banana' break. Please bring enough food and drink for the day as there will be nowhere to stop and shop once on the Downs.
Our coach will meet us in Eastbourne for the return journey of around 2 hours, including a comfort break. We should be back at the Shire Horse between 18:30 and 19:00, depending on traffic.
Our meeting point is the Shire Horse car park. Please park in the area furthest away from the pub, and arrive in plenty of time for a 9am departure by coach. The Shire Horse is on the A4, half a mile west of the A4/A404 junction.
