This walk is an interesting walk, just over 7.5 miles. Starting at Curlys Cafe, Horwich, this is a clockwise walk to Two Lads, overlooking Rivington Pike. It is not a flat walk. It is up and down all the way. Although the paths are well established some are eroded, some are uneven, and there maybe muddy areas. There are a number of uneven steps, and exposed tree roots. There is also a stoney area where we may be walking over a flow of water if it has rained. We pass by fishing pools, through an Alpaca farm, and through Tiger Wood. The climb up to Two Lads, is short but steep, it may be muddy in parts. At Two Lads we will stop for a 20 minute break before continuing over the fells back towards the start. If the weather is on our side we should be able to see over towards the Irish coast and the fells of the lake district.
This is a moderate walk with some steep assents. Walking poles are useful. Dogs are welcome, but must be on leads due to sheep on the fells.
This walk will be repeated 1st April Wednesday, but in the opposite direction.
There is a cafe at the end of this walk.
