Overview

A circular walk through the South Downs between Singleton & Cocking, through some great rural countryside, some lovely woodland & of course, some hills!

If the weather is kind, we should be rewarded with some amazing panoramic views across the South Downs & across to Goodwood Racecourse.

This walk has a few moderate hills & one which some may consider strenuous. 

The terrain could be boggy/muddy in places & (at the point of recce) there are a number of fallen trees across the paths which will need navigating around - some on a slope. 

Poles are recommended for this walk.

Bring refreshments for 2 stops (mid-morning snack stop & lunch).

Dogs on leads welcome with well behaved owners. 
There are some fields with livestock.  

There is the option of post-walk drinks at the Partridge Inn.

We will meet by the bus shelter outside the Primary School on Charlton Road. Due to measures taken by the local parish council, parking is now severely limited along the road by the school as it's no longer possible to park along the verge. There is on-street parking around the village - please park respectfully for local residents. PLEASE CAR SHARE FOR THIS WALK.
