A 6.2 mile circular walk along the North Downs Way and across the Pilgrims Way, returning via the country park. An opportunity to visit the Coldrum Long Barrow Stones at Addington, an early Neolithic burial site dating from around 4000 BC. We will walk through woodlands and farmland on bridle paths and footpaths. Good views and no stiles. A long steep downwards set of steps and some slopes, with one very steep climb to return to the country park. Walking poles useful after rain.
Bring your own refreshments for a break half way. Dogs on leads welcome. There are toilets and a good cafe at the start and finish of the walk. We meet by the cafe. It's paid parking at £2.50 a day, paid by cash, card or parking apps - Park Buddy, PaybyPhone or RingGo.
Trosley Country Park is signposted off the A227 between Meopham and Wrotham, near Vigo Village. Follow the road round to the right from the entrance to reach the cafe.
