The intention is to do Corndon first to get the climbing done in the morning, but I may change this dependent on the weather/cloud height. We will take the longer gentler way up Corndon hill but there is a steep descent, so poles advised.
The rest of the day is fairly gentle and we should get fabulous views into both England and Wales. There is also alot of archaeological interest in terms of old quarrying, standing stones (e.g. Mitchells Fold Stone circle), cairns and an iron age 'hillfort'. Be aware there is very little shelter on this walk so be prepared for whatever the weather has in store for us. The route is mostly across open hillside. There are a couple of short sections which may be very wet underfoot, but the route is generally dryish. Only a few stiles but one wooden fence to throw a leg over as the stile is too hazardous.
Please see start location for details regarding parking.
The leader will meet you at the start.
