This walk is on grassy, moorland paths and hard-core farm tracks with extensive views over Glenlivet, Ben Rinnes and Speyside. The walk starts from opposite Ellivreid Farm following a faint grassy track which eventually peters out and there is now "heather bashing" and very boggy ground to reach a stony track. Follow this track along the ridge and back down into Glen Rinnes. There are two streams to cross and some pathless fields to cross before finding the outward track and returning to the start.
