Overview

Hosted by the Wolverhampton Ramblers Group.

The day will start with a 5 mile walk from the Coven Memorial Hall car park.
The usual light refreshments will be available from 12.30pm, please bring your own packed lunches.

The AGM will commence at 1.30pm. At the end of meeting there will be a break for refreshments followed by a talk given by Ned Williams on Railway Walks.  It is expected that the day will finish about 4.00pm.

Coven Memorial Hall, 64-68 Brewood Rd, Coven, Wolverhampton WV9 5DL Directions by car: Coven village is located approximately 3 miles south of the A5 and approximately 1 mile north of the M54 From M6 South: Exit motorway at Junction 13 (Stafford South) and take 3rd Exit onto the A449 signed to Penkridge/Wolverhampton. Continue on A449 through Penkridge, then straight on for approximately 2.5 miles. At the roundabout (A5 junction) take second exit which is A449 and continue straight on to Four Ashes crossroads (traffic lights) and from there continue to travel straight on along A449. At the next roundabout take 2nd exit onto Brewood Road signed for Coven/Brewood. Once on Brewood Road please read combined directions below. From M54 (Junction 2) North: take 2nd exit and continue to travel north along A449 signed to Penkridge/Stafford for approximately 1mile. At first roundabout take the 1st exit continuing to travel northwards on the A449, then at second roundabout take the 1st exit onto Brewood Road signed for Coven/Brewood. Everyone should now continue on Brewood Road and at roundabout take 2nd exit, passing CO-OP food store on left-hand side and Rainbow Inn on the right-hand side. Just after the junction with School Lane the Coven Memorial Hall should be on your right.
