A brisk linear walk beginning at Cowden (Kent), passing through Penshurst and Chiddingstone, and concluding at Hever. We traverse the northern slopes of the Kentish Weald, stopping by the historic village of Penshurst before venturing onto delightful paths and lanes through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, part of the Eden Valley Walk.
Please bring a packed lunch; we will stop for lunch at a cafe in Penshurst (facilities available). After lunch, our route takes us past the beautifully preserved Tudor village of Chiddingstone, complete with buildings dating back to the 15th century, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy some cakes.
We anticipate encountering flowers and hopefully good weather :-) yet do wear appropriate wear footwear.
No booking is necessary.
The finishing time is approximate and may vary depending on factors such as weather conditions, the walking pace of the group, and the number of breaks we take.
