It the time of year for torchlit evening walks again! This will be a leisurely stroll through the Craig Phadrig woodland and round behind the woodland, along quiet roads just west of Inverness.
Please make sure to bring a head torch or a good phone torch as the entire walk will be in the dark; there aren't any street lights. Please also make sure to wear reflective materials such as a high viz vest or something similar, again as we will be walking along dark roads and need to make sure cars can see us!
Please sign up by contacting the walk leader no later than 5pm on the day of the walk so we know to wait for you.
The walk will be on a mix of woodland trails (uneven ground, potentially muddy if it's been raining) and quiet roads. Trainers are ok for this week but be mindful of potential mudd if it has rained on the days before the walk. There are some steep sections at the beginning (ascend) and end (descend) of the walk, and in the middle (ascend).
Dogs on leads are welcome. The walk passes by a house with loud dogs (the dogs are behind a fence, but very close to the trail) so please be aware of this if you bring a dog.
Craig Phadrig is served by buses numbers 2 and 3 (closest bus stop is Balnafettack Road). Let me know if you need a lift to the walk, and I will try to coordinate if possible. If you can offer lifts, please let me know as well.
