Overview

Join me for this beautiful Derbyshire walk with lots of views. We’ll leave Cromford heading for Dethick with a climb out of the Derwent Valley giving us views back towards Cromford. We’ll then take field paths heading for Tansley and  Lumbsdale.  This narrow, wooded Gorge has a plethora of 17 century mills. Fed by the Bentley Brook this was an industrial area for cotton spinning and bleaching. It’s then on to Riber Castle with views over Matlock before picking up Hearthstone Lane and our return to Cromford
