Overview

We start the walk from the Sherwood Forest RSPB Visitor Centre where there is parking and toilets. We walk into and through Edwinstowe before turning right onto Mill Lane and then follow the River Maun on a bridleway to Forge Bridge where we turn right through the New Lodge Plantation. We then cross the A 6075 into Sherwood Forest eventually getting to Centre Tree and onto Major Oak where we will have a packed lunch before returning to the visitor centre.
