A walk to the highest point in the Pennines with 2400'ascent. We will go up from the pretty village of Blencarn via Grumply Hill and Wildboar Scar to reach the watershed at Tees Head, before joining the Pennine Way to reach the shelter at the summit of Cross Fell. The descent to Kirkland follows the old corpse road, before returning to Blencarn via an interesting fishing lake.
