Overview

Farleton Knott is a craggy outcrop of limestone rock near Burton-in-Kendal. It is a fine area of limestone pavement, of no great height but, with huge views to all points of the compass. The approach is via an old canal and the return following a river. Apart from the obvious rocky hill, the walk is mostly flat on good surfaces comprising cinder towpath, quiet lanes and fields.
