We are the Pontypool Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The route takes us down into Llanbedr village, across the Grwynne Fechan, and then a fairly steep short ascent to gain the Beacons Way. We follow the moorland path onto Crug Mawr, hopefully giving fabulous views of the Llanbedr Horseshoe, and across to our finish point on Crug Hywel. We drop down through he Nant y Ffin valley and continue on lanes before re-gaining the Beacons Way to reach Crug Hywel. From there an easy descent to get back to the cars.
