Overview

The walk will take us up to the ancient hill fort on Coedcaerau-bach and on to Rhiwsaeson.  We will  turn  north to pass to the west of Efail Isaf. After going through Llantwit Fadre we will cross the coal tip of Cwm Colliery, recently featured on a Iolo Williams wildlife TV programme. Many of the colliery buildings can still be seen. We will go on to Llantrisant Common and back to the start.
