The WALK START HAS CHANGED *** Start at the Greystone Bridge entrance to Cawdor Woods. This is reached by turning up the minor road just as you come into Cawdor Village (before the church).
The walk starts by entering the Woods and over the Greystone Br. continuing down towards Cawdor Gorge. We follow the gorge SW on a path a few hundred feet up, eventually converging close to the gorge where we have the option of following the path along the edge, with spectacular views of its steep sides. We regain the main path then take a path down to the gorge and cross it via a footbridge. The walk continues west to join a minor road which we follow south crossing the Glengeoullie Bridge and following the Old Military Road till we reach Achindown. There we strike off east passing Dun Evan Fort site, then looping through good forestry paths through Dallaschyle woods and back to the starting point
