Starting in Chaddleworth, we take a circuitous route through the village before heading west along Buttsfield Lane and then across the A338 to Henley Farm and along the Downland Villages Riding Route. We will then turn north to South Fawley and then south westwards to Whatscombe, onto Manor Farm and back to Chaddleworth.
There are two squeeze stiles early on in the route and five step stiles of varying degrees of quality and difficulty in the latter part of the route.
Much of the route is across open country and very exposed to the prevailing weather conditions, so dress accordingly. (It was excellent in the sunshine on my pre-walk.)
PLEASE NOTE, the walk is NOT suitable for dogs, as there are young cattle in some fields.
Please bring a drink and snack for a mid-walk break.
There is no limit on numbers and no need to book.
