Following the South Downs Way West to Edburton Hill, follow path from gate down to Edburton. Crossing the lane we go up the bridle path with the church on the left. Taking the first footpath on the right, we head towards Perching Sands farm cottages. We continue towards Downers Vineyard, turning right onto lane to Brook House, then left towards Poynings. Entering village, we turn left onto the road and at signpost for Devil's Dyke, we take the footpath on the right and continue back to the start.
Poles would be sensible, as steep descent near the start. There are many stiles down on the plain, sheep and calves. OS map122. We meet at the Devil's Dyke car park. NT members will have free parking but there is a charge for non-members.
