Highlights of this 4.5-mile walk are a magnificent display of sequoia trees, or giant redwoods in Havering Country Park which dwarf everything around, followed soon after by endless fields of golden buttercups. We’ll finish up by a pub appropriately named The Old Dears’ Rest!
Lunch stop likely to be ad hoc, so bring food. A couple of tricky stiles, but we’ll help each other. Could be muddy after rain. Toilets at start and end only.
