Overview

Hilly and woodland walk along the North downs way. Walk starts and ends in Dorking. Will be aiming to go to Tillingbourne Waterfall (it’s England, have reasonable expectations please) via Bury Hills. Walk continues into the wooded hills, going through to the picturesque hamlet of Friday Street with its large Hammer Pond into Abinger hammer. The village is named after its water-powered iron forge. Will be stopping at the Gomshall village for lunch break. Return leg will be continuing along the North Downs Way via Blatchford down into White Downs and to the Denbies hillside ending at Dorking.

Please bring a packed lunch, and also some elevenses to keep you going in the morning.
