We are the Hammersmith, Fulham & Wandsworth Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 7-mile, moderate pace walk through the Garden Trail to a high level viewpoint, then East along the Greensand Way to Brockham and then along the River Mole back to Dorking. Undulating at the start, then flat. Not particularly muddy. A few stiles on the open fields.
Lunch: 1 pm at the Inn on the Green, Brockham Green, Brockham RH3 7JS. It is a Grumpy Mole gastropub with a snack lunch menu or a la carte favourites. Table for six to be confirmed on the day. One hour will be allowed for a socially inclusive lunch and drinks.
Travel: Either - Victoria 10.11, Clapham Junction 10.18, Dorking 11.07. Or Waterloo 10.24, Vauxhall 10.27, Clapham Junction 10.33, Dorking 11.14. Anyone missing the 10.11 from Victoria can catch the 10.16 to Clapham Junction and change to the 10.33 from there.
Ticket: Buy a CDR to Dorking. Freedom Pass holders should buy a CDR from Ewell (East or West) to Dorking. Please note, there is a ticket barrier at Dorking Station.
Toilets: on the train and at Dorking Station.
