Overview

A moderate-paced figure-of-eight walk from Liphook across rolling sandstone country with some hilly views but no hills to climb.

Route: Wheatsheaf Common, Chapel Common, Tuxlith Chapel, Great Hanger, Sussex Border Path, Wheatsheaf Enclosure, returning to Liphook (drop-out point after 6 miles).  Then continuing after lunch to Foley Manor, Birch Piece, Hilly Fields Copse, Folly Pond.

Food: picnic or lunch in 'The Royal Anchor' pub in Liphook.

Travel: train from Waterloo at 09:00 (Portsmouth Harbour service), calling at Clapham Junction at 09:09 and arriving at Liphook at 10:12. The return trains to London depart at 35 minutes past each hour.
