Overview

A flat ,leisurely morning stroll by the River Trent  to Hazelford Lock and then back across country through the pretty village of Morton to Fiskerton. There will be one break for coffee and the option of a lunch stop at picnic tables on the green at Fiskerton at the end. Refreshments are also available at the Bromley pub by the river at Fiskerton.

For those who wish, the walk can be extended by 2.2 miles to take in the village of Rolleston and the Kate Greenaway trail.

Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.

It is possible to reach Fiskerton by train, departing  from Newark Castle at 9.36. You would then need to walk 1 mile down the road to the start point. Please inform the walk leader in advance if you want to take this option as they would then delay the start time. There is a return train at 13.19.
