A lovely walk in a familiar area, with great views on a clear day. Heading along the Wansdyke then down to Calstone and along Ranscombe Bottom before following trackways past Baltic Farm and on to Roundway Hill and a chance to view the Devizes White Horse. Through Leipzig plantation and along to Oliver’s Castle hill fort (via an off piste woodland route!) before descending to Heddington. After visiting the lovely St Andrew’s church, we return to Smallgrain via Hampsley Hollow. Bring supplies for 2 refreshment stops.
