Starting from the Canal basin and tunnel in the hamlet of Drakeholes we follow the Cuckoo Way towards Gringley Shaw Lock, from here we rise to the summit of Beacon Hill. (No need to worry, it’s not that high but is a great viewpoint on a clear day).
After making our way through Gringley on the Hill we take to open countryside heading towards the village of Clayworth. At the Worksop & Retford Boat Club we rejoin the canal passing through Wiseton and back towards Drakeholes
Car sharing is encouraged where possible. If you would like to do this please meet at Chapelgate Carpark (Free on Sundays) Please note the walk leader will not be at Chapelgate and will meet you at the Walk Start point.
Off Road and Roadside Parking is available near the start point at the canal basin.
