Overview

Dumyat is lower than the main Ochil range but rocky and packed with character. It has a superb position on the fringe of the range overlooking Stirling and the Central Belt; the views are smashing.

We also take in Castle Law, Black Hill, White Hill and for contrast Cocksburn Reservoir.

We go through woodland and attractive lochside paths and up hillsides with gradual ascents with some steeper bits near the top.

On Castle Law there is the remains of a prehistoric hill fort, part of the defence against the Romans.
